Here's something that I've been thinking about for sometime. This is about what appears to me personally to be the usual route from AFC to PUA and whether it makes better sense to go another way.

What appears to be the case is the AFC generally learns PU then starts practicing and uses game on any women they meet, ideally the hottest ones. It's all about chasing validation and the AFC is more concerned with how hot the girl is rather than who she is. In time, with much practice the AFC becomes very skilled at game and his bedroom door becomes more like a revolving door, banging hotties left, right and centre. Eventually the AFC turned skilled PUA now starts to realise that just banging hotties isn't enough and he starts to discriminate the personalities and other characteristics of these girls. It stops being enough for the girls to be hot, they have to have the personality and be the type of person he is looking for and he stops needing the validation from hot women because he has already had it. The irony is, the stuff we seem to learn as PUA's on how to game, is about us pretending to be this guy who bases whether he will get intimate with a women on her personality and self esteem as much as her looks. It's the whole fake it until you make ethos, which I don't actually disagree with. I think it's one of the best ways to learn and new skill or self concept.

Now what I'm curious about and what I'd like everyone's thoughts on is this. Is it really necessary to go that route of having to prove your worth to yourself by trying to game all hotties and get them attracted to sleep with you, then get bored with that and only go for the certain type of women you really want? Or do you bypass that whole thing and choose wisely and screen women from the start finding a woman or women that you're really after??

I know some of you are thinking, 'How am I gonna know what type of women I want, when I haven't had enough women in my life??' Well I'm not talking just about women's personalities, I'm talking about her self esteem. Those familiar with David Shade's teachings will know what I'm talking about.

The real concept of choosing wisely first came to me from listening to David Shade. I'm personally a huge fan of that guy and what he teaches. He advocates only going for women who are high self esteem, intelligent and sexual and he knows how to screen for them to make sure he knows that woman fits the bill. If the woman he meets doesn't have those things he doesn't choose to waste time trying to game them. He feels the relationship will be doomed from the start and the sexual techniques he teaches will never work as well. However, when you do choose wisely everything opens up and is much more fulfilling.

So do you think you need to game a ton of women fairly indiscriminately to get the need for validation out of your system or do you think it's possible to become a PUA by screening wisely from the start if you are still an AFC?
