So let me summarize the basics here:

1) I'm a college student. Met a girl in one of my classes, took her to lunch a couple weeks ago. It went pretty well, and we exchanged numbers. Took her to lunch again the other day. We got to talk a lot more this time and got to know each other a bit more.

2) I've texted her a bit to try to hold her interest this whole time, but I have always been the one to initiate these conversations. I have also talked to her a little outside of class, but for reasons that don't need to be explained here, it is kind of rare to get a chance to talk to her after class. She does give me some vague IOIs, such as laughing at my stupid jokes and making eye contact with me in the middle of class.

3) A friend of mine (who she has had class with before but doesn't know very well) suggested that I take him, his girlfriend, and the girl I'm trying to date, on a casual double date about an hour away. The location of the date will be a casual SPAM with very little pressure - horse racing, to be specific.

Overall, she doesn't know me REALLY well yet, and she obviously knows the other two people that would be going even less. However, I'm not sure if I should ask her to go out with us quite yet or if it's too soon. She is pretty outgoing. Keep in mind that this is an hour away, so my main concern is whether or not she'd be comfortable going that far away with the three of us.
