Hi guys

Do you think a woman have rights when she engage her life with someone and committ to him on the most important level for her : love and relationship with a man ?

Let me make myself more clear,

Don't you think that the almost sacrifice of such an important thing for her requires we guys accept to give her rights and fill duties ?

I personally do think that mariage is the most equitable and healthy relationship between a man and a woman.

Marriage is an unnatural institution created and maintained by religious doctrine as a way for the wealthy to legally buy women. Throughout most of history there was no sense in which the woman had any "rights" at all, not to own property, vote, or to have a say in choosing who she would spend the rest of her life with. Marital rape wasn't even a crime in the UK until the 1970s!

Now we live in a society (at least in the UK, US, etc) where we have essentially equal rights (although whether we have achieved equality of OUTCOME is a different matter, there are still inequalities, but far less than even 50 years ago). Women have the RIGHT to choose who to be with, they can have sex before marriage without worrying about children, and their only barrier is society's label of "slut." Your DUTY as a man in this world is to show to her that you can satisfy her emotionally, intellectually and physically, whilst showing that you are discreet, so that she can open herself up to you and forget about the social pressure of being labelled promiscuous.

I don't think women should be allowed to vote, or be in government, they are too emotional and unable to think logically about things like a man can.

I cant believe that I even honor this discussion with a minute of my time...

Women and men are supposed to be equals. If you are in a marrige you both choose to be together at a certain point in life. That may change.

Marrying someone does not give up any rights whatsoever. There are no rules as to what you can do or not do, man or woman. You are bound by laws, yes. You are bound by your own moral code, yes. You are bound by promises you give to your partner, yes.

But you are not allowed under any circumstance to force anybody into anything. Laying down a lot of rules for your wife or whatever is not cool. I mean, what are you gonna do if she breaks them? Punish her like some kind of medieval torturer?

No man, the only thing you have the right to do is to choose to stay or go.

The only time you can lay down a rule is to say:

I will stay in this relationship under these conditions.
List conditions.

She has the right to choose not to be with you if she wants to. You have the right to cry and whine like a 5 year old child. But you have no right to take away her freedom.

You can state your conditions for giving her your love but whether she takes it or not is up to her.

So YES! Women have all the rights anyone can have regardless of if they are in a relationship or not!

Ezo, on a legal dimension equality prevail when trying to determine correctly the line separating each other's responsabilities in the couple

But what i'm saying is, for a woman, giving her time and her love is not the same as for a man.

Hilarious.

Mikki, it's obvious there are some cultural differences at work here, unless you're just a troll, but none the less, you are so wrong in that statement I am actually experiencing physical pain trying to grasp the fact that people like you actually exist in the world. I suggest, since apparently the time and love a woman can offer isn't as valuable as the same offered by a man, that you pursue the time and love of other men.

In the meantime, I'll gladly take on any extra female time and love left over. Win win? I think so.
