Is there value in stating "we're just friends" despite existing sexual tension?

Would a typical female response to be to "respect" your boundaries, or to try to work harder to not LJBF?

The better question is why even do this?

Bringing that up is just dumb.
LJBF is a rejection 99% of the time
Theres way better things to say than that.
