Ok so here is the situation. A few days ago, I called my grandmother who lives in South Korea to ask how she was, in middle of the conversation though, she told me that her friend's grand daughter was in Toronto (where I live) for 1 year to study English. I was given her name and number and my grandmother told me to help her out while she was here. If I wanted to be a friendly neighbor there would be no problem with this situation at all. However, as an AFC in training, I should let no potential targets pass by.

I desperately need to know what to say to her when I call her so that I don't come off as creepy, and some over the phone DHV routines and openers for these types of situations. I know this is an unusual situation, but I believe it's also a great training opportunity for me

The best thing to do as an AFC in training is not to see it as training. I know, hard to understand. But just be fun, and don't try so hard. You're more likely to get the girl not trying than if you were to try to try and get the girl. Understand?

As for the phone call, just be funny and casual. Act like you already know her. Get her comfortable talking with a stranger. Play it cocky funny. You can easily do that since you know that she needs help with english.

Don't try to try. Just relax. Best tip I can ever give you if you want to succeed
