OK, so I got this friend who on my degree course.
We got quite close a while back but she's still in love with this other douch so she needed to sort her head out.
She sort of seeing this guy now a little and believe me, he's an arse.
I'm basically looking to make us an item.
Been talking to her recently, bout the usual, deep questions with flirting and teasing, demostrating higher value etc.
But she seems to think she aint good enough for me, she just says i'm gonna find a hot girl who will make me happy.
I asked if she has a low opinion of me and i'm just thinks i'm just gonna find a hot model because i can?
She says i can have anygirl i want and just discounts herself like she cant belive i'm attracted to her.
Is it possible to demostrate to much higher value and make her think i'm outter her league?
This isnt the first time i've heard this from a women.

Most of the times a girl is saying this to you to reject you in a polite way.

However there might be times that she is actually means it.

I have said those words to guys that I didn't fancy. But last year I was approached by someone that made me think he was too good for me so I felt insecure.

You are too good for her, you can get any model! Either, she's fishing for compliments, or she needs some reassurance. If the latter, pull the whole "there's a million hot girls who are just the same out there" card, and tell her how that's not what matters. That's the card I've pulled in LTRs when I've been visibly surrounded by HBs 9+ all the time. It works, if you can back it up with some specific compliments. Just be careful not to come across as too beta (again, I used this in LTRs).

If she starts with that stuff again i will deffo bring that card to the table.

If she was fishing for compliments she would have said that she is not good enough for him so he would say the opposite. Not that he is too good!
If I say to a man that he is too good and I don't mean it then I say it because I consider him such a cute friend that I don't want to hurt. So I make him leave me instead of me leaving him.

However I agree about case 2-if she just wants reassurance. Especially if he doesnt want her to fall in love with him :S
