Really. Havent you guys experienced the same thing?

Like, in this community and in the evolutionary pshychology books you can read about alphas being big, strong, very masculine, deep voice, loud voice, super strong eye contact, unaffected, unreactive etc etc

But honestly, in real life I see guys getting girls like MAD, and alot of these guys are rarely that "alpha", but one common thing I have found is that they are very expressive, speak their mind even if what they sometimes say would be considered "low status", "beta" etc.

They also are very happy, outgoing and always have a smile on their face.

Thats like the most common factor I see, some of them aint even that masculine or have leader qualities, they just go with the flow and end up pulling the chix.

Just some realizations and things that I have experienced.
How about you?

I agree with you... its not necessary to be the alpha male. If you had to be an alpha the majority of guys would never get laid.

As long as you have your own identity and don't follow her around like a puppy dog.. you'll do fine. The main thing to have is confidence and self-respect.

Not being an alpha doesn't automatically make you a beta either. I don't consider myself an alpha, but I'm definitely not a beta. I'm independent and not a follower. I don't follow the latest trends, gadgets, music, etc. religiously like so many others. But I don't need to be the boss of every person and situation either.

Meh, my view is that "Alpha" generally refers to guys that are in control. Girls definitely like guys that are in control.

And as for your "otherwise no one could get laid"... well, there are so many "betas" that girls don't exactly have choice. The alphas, however, when they come around, get laid like rock stars.

I would like to agree with you, though, that being a traditional alpha male isn't a necessity.

you're right, it's absolutely not the most in control guys that get the girls. Those guys get a certain type of girl, and they are unstoppable with those types of girls. But girls like all sorts of other stuff. Being confident and smiling are considered by some as Alpha qualities and in that case, it is pretty important. But being an all dominating masculine tough looking guy will scare some girls off.

Just look at what women find hot in hollywood, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, these aren't exactly masculine dominant guys. Maybe back in the 80's when Kurt Russel and Sylvester Stalone were the hunks of hollywood.

It's less important than ever.

"Alpha" is subjective.

StandUp you have a point, but the girls who think they like Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom have never met them. They may find them boring in reality. They are a fantasy and should not really be an example to take. The same would have applied to Sly or Kurt Russell back in the day.

Don't worry about it to much about being alpha. try to isolate that way you don't have worry about it. If its just you and her just be alpha then.

Dont even look at it as being alpha.

You can be assertive without being a dick. If someone steps on your toes, push them off. You don't have to step on other peoples shoes to get the girl.
