On a couple of occasions now, people I know have said to me that I look depressed, or angry or unhappy. Even tonight, I got a "You look flustered."

I'm not sure why this comes across. I try to be the funny, happy guy, but I can't be smiling all the time can I?

How do I fix this?

Try and use it to your advantage. You can have the deep dark painful secret that women would kill to find out what it is....or just look happier

I was the same for a long, long time bro. I think it's mostly a confidence issue, the thing I did to remedy myself of the problem was:

1] Look at myself in the mirror in the morning, say "You are the man" then give yourself the biggest smile you can manage.

2] Whenever girls make eye contact with you, give them a smile. At first it will feel strange, because you're not used to smiling. Eventually you will get better and better.

3] Try to maintain a positive outlook on all things in life. This one's BIG, since I've been maintaining a positive outlook, my life has been so much better.

It's not only with smiling. It's about how you speak (vocal tonality), how you stand (body language). The enthuasim you have.

For example, I'm very energyzied. I hi-5 people at my work place. I say, "smaaaack it!" to collegues. I sing. I spread energy

I would suggest that you ask one of those people to video shoot you on their mobile device and let you judge for yourself. I'm sure you will say "whaaaat the fuck? is this me? i do thaaaaaaat sutff?"

I am doing it to myself while learning pickup. It gives you an amazing perspective on how you look from the side and what your subcommunications are.
