I'm going out tonight with one of my old friends who is a really cool female. No attraction there because I have known her for years and think of her like a sister. However I'm thinking I am going out tonight... I should take advantage and still attempt PUA.

Just her being there helps you immensely. It's a concept called preselection. You ever know a guy who has a girlfriend, and when you're out and he mentions the gf women come to him and are much more interested than you expect? They hear girlfriend and assume he has positive qualities that she would want in a partner. If you just walk into a bar with this girl arm in arm, some women will notice and instantly elevate your status to a more desirable level. If you want to game, just let her know in advance I'd say. If it's just the two of you going out, mention that you may want to talk to women you see there so that she doesn't get angry and cockblock.

Guys, I get the jealousy aspect of the things, but that happens when you're a popular guy and women know that you are popular amongst the other women. But I believe this case is slightly different. If you are going out with a female friend of yours, unless she's attempting PUA as well, how can you actually pick another chick up and leave this one to spend time by her own? When it comes to choosing between women, either it's here or there, no mid-ways. Although if you make your friend aware of the fact that you'll be trying to pick other women up and she's sporty about it, it's a different thing altogether. Make sure she doesn't feel she's being used to your advantage.
