I have this female friend, and unfortunately, that's all it has been. I would still say I am an AFC, but before I knew anything about the game (and when I was even more AFC), I told her I liked her, straight out. She said she didn't like me back, and also said she felt bad.
It's been about a year since that happened. She doesn't live near me, so hanging out isn't always easy (I have yet to invest in a car). We talk occasionally. My question is this: can I get this girl?
I find her very attractive, but we have already talked about dating, and she said she didn't want to - she said this a year ago.
How can I change that? How can I get her attracted to me? Or is it already too late?

Dude, it has been a year. This site is designed to help guys, but not in the way you want help. At some point you need to realize that this girl is not perfect, and the first proof that she isn't the one for you is that she said she doesn't want to be the one for you. It was too late the moment she turned you down. Any more time spent on her would be a waste of energy.
What you really need to do is get over her, and I've always found that the best way to do that is to go have some fun. Call up a few buddies and go out. You can talk to other girls or just hang with your friends at first, but the key is to realize that you can have a crazy fun time without this girl. Once you see that she isn't critical to you being happy in life (you should never think that about a girl unless you're about to marry her, true story) it gets way easier to move on.

It's a dreadful place trust me. The best thing to do is to get the hell out asap and invest your time in some other girl. Even if you do end up getting this girl (of which the chances are very low), it will most likely not work out very well.
P.s: Before you move on, do gain some knowledge on how to not enter a chick's buddy zone. It'll help you not commit the same mistake again. _________________ Women are plenty, time is not.

I didn't mention that I'm not really hung up on this girl. I've successfully dated other girls in the past year. I just find this same girl attractive, fun, smart, and confident - a girl I'd want to date.
Any new advice?
