I have a really bad habit of when I talk to girls via texts, emails or even on phone I ignore certain questions like "how are you" " how was your holiday" etc etc etc

Is this a really bad thing?

I tend not to answer simply because i hate lying and saying "yeah, I am fine" when in fact im not. I dont like making a big fuss so if i said the truth and said "im not fine" then she will ask more questions and basically it would go into a downward spiral of me confiding in a girl.

Would i kinda need to give a white lie here and there to do the whole gaming thing? Ultimately gaming does have some elements of lying i.e. not showing your needy side when infact you are a bit needy etc.

IMO: your bad habit of not answering questions from girls is good, you'll become challenge and mysterious, leaving them wanting to know you more. that's a part of the game

There was a thread regarding how a girl doesnt answer any questions and "open" up - the original poster was annoyed at that. So I imagine that the girl may get annoyed.

Sure, the poster was annoyed but obviously he became intrigued and posted his frustration online. These negative feelings often result in a subconscious need to try to impress others by figuring out other ways to generate interest.

She's clearly interested and often the fastest way to lose that spark is to demonstrate even more interest in return. So no, ignoring certain questions is not a bad thing.

It may be mean, but it sure as hell is an effective tool to get a girl to want you more and more.
