I’m 31 years old and moving to a new city for the first time in my life. I’m pretty good with women and am not asking for help with women in this thread. Rather, I would like some advice on building a new social circle and making some real friends with both men and women. I’m particularly concerned because a lot of people my age already have an established inner circle of friends and aren’t looking to add someone new to the mix. Also, I’m actually more concerned with making friends with other guys because I’m not interested in a lot of the things that guys typically do to bond (fancy football, poker, watching sports). I hate that sausage party shit. I have a lot more fun with my male friends when their girlfriends and wives are there. Not that I'm hitting on the girlfriends and wives of course, I just think we dudes dumb ourselves down and are pretty boring when there aren’t any girls around.

If anyone could recommend any good books or products that might help me as well, that would be great.

What do you like to do? If it's a city of decent size, then almost certainly there are local groups where people with similar interests congregate. If you're into PUA, look for a local lair on the internet and join that. I've met the most interesting and diverse group of people in my local lair.

It's a big city and checking out a lair was one thing I was going to look into. I want to continue to improve my pick up skills and general social skills.

Are there any products that are good for improving your general social skills and developing friendships (as opposed to just picking up women)?
