It's currently out of University term time, so I'm socialising with a different crowd. They're good fun and everything but don't make the best wingmen, so I often end up gaming on my own.

I've been in a few situations where I've opened a group end then I dont isolate the target quick enough. I find usually what happens is that the group close me out rather than the target

For example last Friday I was in a smoking area, opened a group of 3 one guy was going well, HB8 was chatting away, her mate (not so great) was getting majorly kino and the bloke was being relatively quiet. We'd been chatting for 20-30mins when two of her friends returned.
1. the two new arrivals were very suspicious and didn't take to me
2. the larger group was much harder to handle
Anyway this is the strangest thing that has happened to me whilst gaming so I'd thought I'd mention it. Her friend has her hand on my arse, and the target was grabbing my cheeks saying I was cute and the new arrival started nipple crippling me as an attempt to get rid of me. I left too weird and too much for me to handle.

Now none of this would have happened if I'd managed to isolate a lot quicker. But I literally didnt have a clue how to. Usual I rely on wings to handle groups. The only thing I could think of was to ask her if she wanted to go for a bar for a drink. Now this tends to work if with wingmen occupying others because when you ask the target her friends can't hear and its easy/acceptable for her to slip away. However this does not work when you're talking to the group as well.

Can anyone think of some good ways to isolate when in these situations? Help would be much appreciated!
