I'm a big fan of alcohol, and I smoke,I was wondering how much other PUA's would tend to drink over the course of a night, and if there are any that smoke : do you notice a difference between womens reactions if you are/aren't smoking?

I find that my wit and humour becomes much sharper when I'm slightly drunk,as in I can be a very fun person to be around, and as well as that I have more courage to say outlandish things. However I also tend to forget forget tips and tricks that I've picked up that could turn it from a handjob at the back of a club to a night of screwing at my place.

Does anyone else have this same dilemma? And if you do how did you deal with it?

I drink and i smoke too.

i drink alot and usually it is to give me some dutch courage but the problem is it also makes you a touch incoherent which I guess goes against the whole pUA thing. As I understand it - you should be able to pick up girls without needing the alcohol to loosen up inhibitions etc.

The smoking thing I think is a great way to pick up women. In England we aint allowed to smoke inside anymore. So when you go out to smoke its an opportunity to chat to women and from there take it inside and do your thing.

Thanks Johnny,
another of my problems is I find that I can't engage in conversation UNLESS I'm smoking,or at least outside in the smoking area (smoking indoors is also banned here in Ireland). It's just such a great place to chat,it's quiet(er),theres seating, you can hear yourself speak.
This is a problem I really must work on.

I live in Canada and the majority of younger girls here seem very opposed to smoking, unless they themselves smoke. I have had some adverse reactions to the habit. Not many are indifferent - they like it or they don't.

That being said, I agree with the poster above that it can be a way to socialize. I am in no way shape or form a PUA, because I literally just joined this site, but I feel it puts people at ease to have an activity to do while socializing. Even if it is as simple as smoking.

I am considering minimizing the habit so I can hide it when I want and use it when I feel its appropriate. Here in Canada it's best kept under your hat. :?

I smoke and drink.

I think some percentage of girls think they won't date a smoker so they tell themselves that smoking is a turn off. This creates a situation that you have to game your way past.

Girls that smoke will invariably light up during a conversation, usually right when you do. It is comfortable to do so, since people associate smoking with their nerves.

On drinking.. If you do not drink anything at all and you're in a bar or club opening sets on girls who do drink.. you're making a mistake. You don't want to look like you are simply there to pick up girls. Don't appear to be some kind of predator.

Don't drink to the point where you are totally smashed either. It can lead to pretty bad situations in its own right, and can mess up your game. Try not to carry the drink right in front of your chest either, keep it down and by the side for better body language (in my opinion I'm no pro).
