Hi.. so here's the deal. My girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me somewhat randomly a little over a week ago. We were in love (both sides) and were amazingly happy until recently things just fell apart. I am still caught up on her and made the mistake of chasing after her with constant text messages pleading for her to come back. This was a huge mistake. After being ignored and occasionally simply rejected, I know it's time for me to move on. I have told her that I blocked her number, and I did, but mainly just to keep myself away from her. I blocked her on facebook. Shes the type of girl to run away from uncomfort and just not ever speak to me about it, even though she told me once that she still had feelings for me. The thing is this...I want her back in the long run. I want to be with other women now, but my motivation is to piss her off and make her come back. I know she will and has been with other guys since we broke up. Anyways, is this a counterproductive mindset to have?
Plus, where should I start as far as meeting new girls? I'm extremely introverted, but aside from that I'm above average as far as looks and money. I never have had all that many friends but people always like me and think that I'm cool, I just tend to stick by myself. Now I'm all by myself because the friends I did have were really just her friends pretending to be my friends. I've never been good at approaching and meeting girls. The girl I dated approached and did all the work as far as luring me. I feel like when I do appraoch girls, I do things like send messages on facebook to girls i dont know or on the rare face to face encounter i eithergo in too strong too fast because I'm nervous and want to get out of the conversation as quickly as possible, say something awkward and feel embarassed so i leave, or simply walk away?
What should I do? read? watch?
How can I overcome my shyness and approach anxiety?

Just read about PUAs, read the book called the game by neil strauss..
Then read up on the people you like from the book, and start talking to girls and anyone for that ,matter..

I'm not a guru, but i know that these people's theories and games (mystery,sinn, etc etc) will reallly help you become a natural and getting girls and your ex will probably be in love with you when she knows all the HB's you are getting..

it takes time but its sure worth it, and i say do it! and even if she dont come back i guarantee after maybe even star closing one other girl you wont even think about her..

Well my suggestion would be is that if you arent confident and dont have natural gamae, which tbh you sound like you dont. try reading more of mysteries stuff because its run on a linear sequence which even a BAFC could learn and use.. Im at the point where i have great natural game, due to me generally being cocky-funny, but my technique needs tweaking.. if you have a problem talking to people try this "phone random numbers in the phone book and ask for their recommendations on good films" or just walk around a shopping mall and say hello and smile to everyone you see.. but make sure you are well presentable (: Pm me if you need help ill gladly give you all the advice i know...

Well, I'm about halfway through the Mystery Method book as we speak. The Game is next.
In my breaks from reading both yesterday and today I went to the mall. This idea was spurred by the Newbie Mission thread.
The first day, I walked around like a zombie and only spoke to one girl. I had the intentions but not the follow-through. The one girl I spoke to was a HB 5, maybe even 4. I'm not sure if I should even still use the HB acronym but whatever.. She initiated the conversation, was obviously interested and I awkwardly stumbled out of the conversation..I know, I know.
Today was better. The first approach was a girl who was folding clothes at Pac Sun. I asked her if they carried a certain brand (ed hardy) that I was looking for, then proceeded to ask her in what stores I should look. I then asked her what she thought about that style, and if she liked it better than the Bob Marley shirt that I was wearing. She smiled at me and answered my questions sweetly, saying that she liked both styles etc etc. I smiled and said thank you and walked away. She was much cuter than the girl from the day before.
Another girl was working at one of the sunglass stands in the mall. I approached her and asked her where I could find the type of shirt I was looking for, even though the last chick had just told me. She said to try Dillards, I asked where it was, she pointed. I smiled and asked if I should go upstairs or downstairs and she said she didnt know. I got the impression that she wsa either taken, or thought that I was too good a catch for her and thus didnt play into it at all. Who knows? I left after she told me where to go.
After I bought my shirt, I went to Lids to buy a hat. I asked one girl to tell me if the hat I was buying fit right and we talked for a minute. She wasn't cute at all but I was practicing my small talk.
When I approached the counter, the girl that was ringing me up smiled and I immediately knew that she was somewhat interested. We talked about how I dont buy many hats and she tried to convince me to get a discount card but I declined. She then said that I should buy a can of hat protector to keep stains off. We talked about this for a minute and she was smiling the whole time. I smiled and kind of played it cool. When I bought the can of spray, I asked her how to spray it (wipe it off or leave it on or what) and she smiled and opened the can. She said she would spray it for me so that I wouldnt have to for a couple of weeks. I felt like we had a good rapport and that if I knew how, I could hav eclosed her number. I was hesitant to really push at all though because there was a dude ringing up people at the cash register right beside and idk it might have been inappropriate. Should I go back sometime? when? what should I say? I dont want another hat yet LOL....but maybe I could just buy the discount card? How else would I have an excuse to go?
