Aight,
So I was trying to open this chick up at the bar being a complete idiot of what her body was saying (though in her general position it was little hard to tell, plus since she was alone, I waited a couple of seconds to see if her boy was around, eventually found out there was one), and greeted her. She gave me a close lipped smile, a nod, and went back to what she was doing. This should have probably been a big red flag for me but I tried to continue and got no response. Ahh the dreaded cold shoulder. So she left me hanging there.

Here's my question, after the thought, I realized what I could have said was "Hey Listen, enjoy your night". However, my question is would it also be a good idea to tag on "Sorry to disturb you" or would that just be too much?

Well it's not so much that I cared that I didn't pick her up, because literally 2 minutes later, I talked to some other girl who literally did show me signs of attraction before hand, and had an amazing conversation. She wasn't my type but it was great talking to someone that I didn't know in a place that I was not too firmiliar with.

I simply want to know from the prior post which way would have been better to make it seem like she missed out on a great thing is all, and gives me the end advantage.

bored unhappy sets will blow you off. you wanna approach girls that are talking lively, laughing, having fun. i am new, but i try to open the ugliest chick or the shyest/most under dressed one in the set. then i try to open the other chicks in the set through her.
