Is there a method to telling a great story?

I have so many great stories that I've tried to tell people, but a lot of the times that I try, I can just see that the other person isn't really into it at all...not to mention that even I'm bored of telling it by the time I finish. Meanwhile, I've met some people who can take a simple story and can make it epic while capturing the undivided attention of everyone around them. Being able to tell a great story would undoubtedly help anyones game

Can some of you better storytellers provide some thoughts and input?

well if you are bored while telling the story how can you expect your audience to be excited ab it? You need to use emotion and power in you words, that and connecting the story to the audience personally are the keys to make any story exciting.
