How far in advance should you ask a girl out

I have a friend of mine and was asking me for some advice regarding asking someone out and the timing of it.

How far in advance should you ask a girl out. Considering that people make plans for weekends well in advance, surely the earlier the better. However, you dont want to seem to eager either by asking a week before.

I advised my mate to ask the girl in question today whether she was available next fri/sat night. So that you could get in there before she makes plans.

What is everyone elses opinion?

Ask her when she's free. Then sort something out for then.


Or, if bored, ask her what she's up to... if nothing, then both go do something. Tend to be how I roll.

If you plan to take her out on the weekend, then I think its a good call to secure those plans by Wednesday, but no sooner than Monday.

If (and I recommend this) you plan to ask her out for a weekday date, I would do it the day before, or same day.

yes but make sure your friend realizes that if a girl flakes not to take it to hard, hopefully your friend knows what hes doing
