I need some help here.

I'll try to spare the details and still give you enough info to reply properly.

So basically a couple of months ago this girl LJBF'd me. I decided I had heard that one too many times and decided to change my game. I was a total AFC at this point. Then I picked up Double Your Dating and started changing. In reply to her LJBF I sent a cocky funny email basically saying how awesome I am and how she'd be a terrible friend because she always flakes etc. I basically said we could be FB's, IF she could find a way to keep me interested.

She never replied, I started seeing other women, starting with her sister's friend.

A week ago I started getting weird facebook messages from some woman I don't know. No photo, no info, no mutual friends. It's a fake profile obviously.

The messages just kept saying how attractive I was and how good looking I am etc etc. It was so over the top I assumed it was a prank, and replied to say so. She said it wasn't a prank, but that I am really hot. She then added that 'overly confident guys who act like charming pickup artists are usually pricks and very unattractive'.

I replied to say 'thanks for the advice but I'm actually a very humble guy'.

I expected that to draw some kind of sarcastic response or bitchy comment or something.

Instead she wrote "maybe you are humble, it's not clear. Thinking back I can see it now but maybe that was an act. If this is making you uncomfortable maybe we should stop this odd conversation".

I didn't reply, then she blocked me and the profile got deleted.

I've essentially established that it is the girl I mention at the start of the post.

But what do I do? I decided to just write to the girl in question directly and skip the bullshit. But how do I approach it??

At first I thought she was trying to get revenge on me- but on reading it back the emails seem more like a weird IOI. She can't reply to me directly because the email was too harsh. I basically gave her the ultimatum: fuck me or fuck off.

So she can't really reply unless she accepts the frame I set up- that we could be FBs.

She reiterated several times that she was not kidding and that I'm very attractive but the 'overly confident pricks' thing is obviously an issue. Is it a shit test?

I feel like I should switch from cocky/funny to restoring trust and comfort but how to do that without going AFC and apologising for the email I wrote? If she is emailing me now then there is interest there...

I don't know how to handle this!

You are right. If you still want her - open kind of gate which she may pass through not loosing self-respect.
