Met this cute HB9 last week through a mutual friend. The three of us spent the day together at a music festival. I didn't go for her because there's quite a large age difference. Plus I was starting to think that our mutual friend has got a crush on me (not vice versa). At the end of the night all their other friends tried to couple me and the mutual friend. The end of the night I was telling about how I fancy the HB (so she'll hopefully take the hint).

Few days later the HB added me on facebook, where I used the poke-routine. All in all looking well, she kept the convo going and was really funny in her responses. Untill she asked me if I liked the mutual friend, because the mutual friend likes me. I just made it clear I didn't, because the mutual isn't my type.

Now I wonder if I was, unintentionally, LJBF'd?

Seriously, that was a great opportunity. But if you don't act soon you will be LJBF'd

2 things
age is no matter.... When i was 17 I was pulling 20-25 year olds no joke you just have to flip it around and make them feel old so that their concerned about their age effecting their chances with you .
second the best way i have found to get out of a situation when a girl ( who you like ) asks if you like their friend reply with " shes cute ...... but cutes not what im looking for"
Its possibly the nicest way to let someone down and allows you to game your target as normal ( just dont call your target cute cute)

Yeah I don't think you were LJBF'd because of that comment... Unless you said something that rubbed her the wrong way... like the way you said you're not interested in the mutual friend... if you said it in a really nasty way, it might have simply turned her off or made her think you are shallow, etc... You should have done as the previous post said, and said you were not interested in a delicate manner such as "i like her, but not in that way... we're just really good friends" or something like that.
You should just flirt with this girl and let her know you like her, and try to hang out with her... then take it from there.

I told her the mutual friend is a really close friend, but nothing more. She just isn't my type. Then afterwards she kept the convo going. And now it's up to me to escalate :)

Couple days further. We kept sending fb messages all weekend long and I #closed her. (I got her to ask me for my number :D)

She kept on giving me IOI's, I started thinking this just was too easy and therefore there had to be something wrong. She gave me a last IOI by texting me to tell what she was up to. I made was making fun of her a bit. But I was working when she answered at 00.30 am so at 2.00 am i texted something sweet. And she answered instantly: Good Night!

Didn't respond to it and haven't heard from her since. I don't really know if I should open again and how to take it from there.

Suggestions?

Btw should I DLV her by saying she's too young for me (when she's asking in an annoyed manner?)
