How long of a wait is recommended when you don't get a reply to a first email? I've heard a week, act like the first email didn't exist (which I plan on doing), but this happened last Sunday and I emailed her I think Tuesday or Wednesday while that comfort level was still there and got nothing back.

Met her at a mall kiosk last sunday, hb8, talked for 5-10. She was starting to get busy closing for the night so I got her name and email and left. Emailed her I think wed because I wanted to contact her while still in the comfort phase and got no reply. I'm going to email her probably tomorrow because I don't want to wait another week (as I've heard for other responses) because by then she'll be less familiar with me and the comfort phase will probably be passed.

I'm going to email her, act like the 1st email never happened, tell her I've been busy with a lot of social events going on (dhv and not apologizing) and try to give a sentence or 2 about some of the stuff we talked about that day (which led to the comfort phase) to re-establish the emotional connection.

If I get nothing back, I'm throwing the email out. She works at a mall kiosk at a mall I frequent often, so if I see her I might say hey while walking by, not stopping, or just ignore her.

The longest one has been a week and a half for me. In an IM-world, people are quite reluctant to write an email, even when they want to. It might just be too big of a hassle.

I'd try to get a phone# just to text, or an aim. Email seems too distant and formal. Give her two weeks then introduce the email to your recycle bin.
