I was at a house party once, and one of my friends brought with her a HB8. Throughout the night, I chatted with HB8 and received MANY IOI's, I shot back IOI's as well. I could not close, because HB8 had to leave early.

A week later, I was at another house party with my friend again, this time HB8 was not there. I was talking to my friend and she asked me the question "Do you 'like' HB8?" I didn't quite know how to answer, so I shrugged it off and changed topics.

Now I know if I told her anything, she would tell HB8 about my answer, and I know HB8 is interested.

How should I have answered that question?

You should/should've say/said something like "Well, she seemed like an alright girl. I don't really know her though." I personally wouldn't give out a whole lot of information on what I think about her. But I mean, she asked you a question, you should've just answered it how you thought it should be answered.

Depending on the IOIs you gave to the target the first night, it may have been incongruent to pretend like you didn't know what your friend was talking about. If your IOIs were direct, your target knows you find her fun and interesting already. She shouldn't need to find out again through her friend. Specifically how did you act with her the first night?

A girl doesn't ask you if you like they're friend for no reason. If a girl asked me that AND I got IOI's from her then she's obviously interested. I agree with MagicCaveman, say "Yea, but don't tell her" but then asked her why. Can't be incongruent and give IOI's one night and shrug her off another night. K-Close her next time you see her. :D

We played suck and blow that night, and she sat beside me the entire night. I'm good at that game so never dropped the card. This is how you might get her:

She liked you. She knows you liked her. Be honest about it. "Yeah, that chick was cool." That's all you have to say. Only bring this up if your friend asks you about her again.

Here's another approach. You can tell your friend, "Hey, make sure that girl comes out to the next party. I want to see her again." This is a romantic and ballsy thing to say, which should make your friend excited about playing matchmaker. It's always cool to help people get together. When she talks to the other girl about you, it will be instant social proof.


1. Have the balls to be honest and be a little vulnerable.

2. If you have some basic IOIs, just assume she really likes you. You are awesome and she can't help feeling that way. This keeps things fun and non-needy.

3. If you make a move on the girl and she resists, do not worry. "No pressure, babe." Talk about something else if you're still in the interaction. If it's time to say good night, say, "See you later. " Sometimes, a girl needs a few days to think, after which time she may decide she likes you.

And remember, the most important and basic IOI is that the girl is still there talking to you. Really, that is the only IOI you need.
