It’s crazy if you think about it, you’re paying up to $3,000 for a weekend to learn from a pick up guru because you’ve heard he’s amazing with women. You’re trusting your self worth, confidence, and future manhood on someone based on their ability to be better than you with women, and they won’t even do a single demonstration. Is that crazy?
Here’s the inside scoop: from a PUA Bootcamp Instructor’s point of view.
There’s a lot at risk when an instructor demos. No matter how good the instructor is, women are unpredictable.
A non-known PUA, such as a new guy to the scene or an up and comer has nothing to lose when he gets blown out, so he can demo and do crazy stuff all he wants. However, an already established PUA has very little to gain by opening a set, and a lot to lose.
Think about it, if you see someone like Mystery, Brad P., or Style demo and he opens a set well, you’ll just assume that’s what he is supposed to do. But if they get blown out, they lose tons of creditability and that story of their blowout will spread like wildfire.
Other guys like Adam Lyons don’t demo during bootcamps because it would take all night. His game is designed in a way where instead of approaching the hot girl directly, he would work the entire room, build up his social proof, and then open the set. I’m one of the few guys who have luckily seen him demo live, and I can vouch that his game is tight, and he’s good.
Flash Game Demonstrations:
What’s almost worst than not demonstrating at all is demoing with flash game. If someone wants a very high chance of opening the set, making the girls light up, and make it look like they are top PUAs, they use something called “Flash Game.” Common tactics are, Spinning the girl, Dance Moves, Magic Tricks, and Peacocking. The problem with Flash game is even though it looks cool, it hardly ever goes anywhere because you’re not really trying to pick them up, you’re trying to just make it look like you’re picking them up with the absence of sexual intention.
The Importance of Demonstrations:
The reason why I always personally demo during my bootcamps is because I know how important it is, and because I’m not afraid to let students know that I fuck up once in a while too.
There is something true about “seeing is believing” and without the student physically seeing it in person for himself, he’ll always have doubts in the back of his head, preventing him from getting better. Seeing someone who you can relate to, such as someone who isn’t great looking, is overweight, balding, or an ethnic minority, really makes an impact in your mind, letting you know that you don’t have to be a tall, good looking, white guy to get girls.
I think that’s one of the big reasons why my bootcamp students do so well. Seeing guys like me and Asian Playboy demo and pull hot white girls in front of their eyes makes them truly believe in themselves and allows them to have the confidence to do it on their own.
Why instructors will not demo outside of bootcamps:
If you bumped into an olympic runner in a nightclub, would you ask him to race you down the street, or worse, to give you a free demo while you watched? It’s the same idea as why PUA Instructors do not want to demo for complete strangers. They have everything to lose, and nothing to gain.
Plus, aside from seeing some flashy stuff, you won’t even understand what the instructor is really doing. I know that in my bootcamps we talk about the subtle things like body language positioning, compliance, general to sexual kino, and progressing through the stages of pick up. These are the things that will really improve your game and are very helpful to see in person but only once you actually know what you’re looking for.
I’ve demonstrated at every single bootcamp I’ve ever taught for the past four years and I’ll promise to always continue to do so as long as I’m an instructor. I feel that it’s the best way for guys to learn, if they see it for themselves. But then it comes to your turn to do it yourself, and you gotta do it. Remember that you're not paying for a high priced wingman, or to watch someone else make out all weekend. It's your show. I hope to see you guys around someday, I'll be in SF and in Vegas in September for the PUASummit, check out my blog for more details.
