One of the most well-known suppositions of NLP is "The map is not the territory"-- the way you perceive things isn't necessarily the way things are. The way you perceive things is a big part of your inner game.
I confess that for a long time I'd been more of an info-junkie, choosing to read more of the older posts or to learn more about the gurus instead of really putting things into action. Then, today, after a great night's sleep, I had the guts to finally number close someone who'd previously considered me a loser (since I'm in high school this is someone who I've known for a while).
I'd delayed so long from going for a move because my map was outdated. Without the extra energy from a great night's sleep, I couldn't work up the courage to really try it because I still imagined she thought I was a loser. Once I number-closed, I realized "Hey, people think I'm cooler than that!"
The real inner game comes from doing, not from thinking. So get out there, and update your map. Learn what the territory's really like, and where you can improve.
I guess since this is in general questions, then my question is, "What do you guys think?"

Sometimes our insecurities can cloud our mind and other people might see you fron the different corner than you see yourself. Our mind is a VERY powerful weapon. It might create, it might destroy. It all comes down to how you use it.
