Alright here's the situation...

I met this girl at a school club meeting about a month back. Something about her really interested me but it was the one and only time I've ever actually met her in person. We've talked very sparingly on facebook (only a few comments here and there, nothing too deep - I didn't want to put myself in that 'friend zone' or anything).

Right now we're both still up at school taking summer classes which just started this week. Since I've come to the realization I probably won't see this girl in person again unless I actually initiate something, I was wondering if it is possible to use the same PU techniques that you would use in person but via facebook?

I've only just started involving myself in the PU community so I'm not familiar with too many techniques, but I was thinking of going with a opinion opener, following it up with some conversation (interesting stuff, not your typical formalities), then asking her if she wanted to meet for coffee or something since we're both still in town.

Let me know if you think this could work over the internet and if you have any other strategies/advice.
