Anyhow, I met a girl through a mutual friend last Thursday. We hit it off really well, and she was quite flirty. As the night went on, she started dropping IOIs, I escalated, and she responded well so I k-closed. We texted each other a lot over the next couple of days and then I found out from our mutual friend that she has a boyfriend.
Rather than take this as a good sign and keep going, I got all freaked out and confronted her. She confirmed it and said that she didn't want to say anything because she really liked me and was afraid of hurting me and wanted to keep me as a friend because she's "faithful" to her boyfriend. I said I didn't want to talk about DeGrassi-level drama on the phone, and told her that I'd call her and set up a time to talk about this in person. She was surprised, but thought it was a good idea.
So, normally I'd just say fuck it and move on, but I'm feeling like trying something new even if it fails horribly. What's my best move?
