| Okay, I’m thinking that this post might benefit from a more thorough review of what has transpired between myself and the HB8, especially considering I just realized I never mentioned that she’s a virgin. This girl is the most difficult to read person I’ve ever met and perhaps someone else can see in this record some further hints.
I actually keep a very detailed personal journal and my first and second get together with her are recorded there. HB8 is called Chelsea, and I have a GF named Dani (open relationship). HB8 and I are in a memoir writing workshop together and we decided to meet up on a Saturday to read some of our writing and critique each other. My printer broke and she forgot hers. I pick her up in my GF’s car at her dorm (Mountainview/Whitney). The journal entry extract begins:
…Shortly, I arrive at Mountainview, behind Whitney, and call Chelsea to come down to the car. She tells me she doesn’t have her stuff to workshop and will be down momentarily. Chelsea and I drive to Cyber Café West. There we order coffees, myself a Black Widow latte. We sit and chat by the stage. There I learn that my Creative Non-Fiction classmate, from Buffalo, and winner of a school writing competition, is also a friend of my housemate and friend. We then head to my house where we discuss the merits and drawbacks of certain pieces of literature. I read from the Old English Beowulf and Middle English Canterbury Tales Prologue. She also developed something of a catchphrase in regards to me: “Of course you do/did.” After a while of explaining how I lived in Australia, worked in a factory, have been in films, ride a unicycle, eat fire, have a summer job that flies me around the country, etc, this became the only appropriate response apparently. We migrated to my room where she sat on the bed and I alternated between standing and sitting away from her, until I tried to get her to dance. Failing at that, I sat inches away. I tried to find an angle to begin a sexual conversation which has been exceedingly difficult. I tried for about 30-40 minutes and then hit gold with, “What’s on your bucket list?” She said “Sex while skydiving.” This leads its conversational way to HBO’s Real Sex. I then direct towards personal experiences, then, last step, kissing expertise. I ask her how well she kisses, how she would rate herself. She appears mildly confused and uncertain about the question. I offer to rate her myself. She protests that I have a girlfriend. I say, “It’s an open relationship. Relationship on the rocks. Take your pick.” I tell her I want to kiss her, and as I slowly lean in, placing my hand behind her head, she says, softly, like a whimper, “Okay.” Kissing leads to my hand on her thigh, then the ol’ Push-Pull until I have her topless, braless, and my right hand descends beneath the waist of her jeans. She stops me, saying, “I have my period.” I think a moment, then say, “Is that a problem for you?” She says it is. I tell her that I’m only going to play a little bit. As I reach for her fun-button (not sure how explicit I can be here) I can feel her pad. She is wet. I inspect my finger. Clean. I decide I will explore further. As I continue to caress her with my lips I massage her and hear, with anguish, “You make it so hard to say no.” I take this as my cue and wait only a few moments before slowly dipping my first two fingers inside of her. I feel a membrane and before I can even consider the impediment, I hear, “Ow!” I think, Oh no, not another one, in reference to the Vaginismus of Catherine and Danielle. I am paused, unsure of how to continue. Then she speaks up, “This probably isn’t a great time to tell you this, but I’m a virgin.” I can only respond wordlessly, with widened eyes, and, perhaps, an “Oh.” She says, “I’m not ashamed of it, I just haven’t found anyone I wanted to take it.” And here I thought she was experienced. She continues, “I would just need you to be very slow and careful with me.” Oh! So she wants me to take it? Sweet. I’m practically a certified virgin trainer! I tell her of course I would be. She says not today, which I understand, what with the period and the suddenness of it all. She says it usually turns most guys off. I say it’s okay, and tell her my patented, “You tell me how much we do, and that’s what we do.” Again, as always, this receives a very puzzled look. We continue in our amorous activity, pausing frequently to talk, until it is time to bring her home. Back at her dorm, in the car, I do the come hither motion with my finger and she leans over to kiss me. We begin to kiss and I go to put my hand on the side of her face to guide the kiss, as I am wont to do, regardless of kiss duration. Before any more than just the tips of my fingers contacts her cheek, she pushes it away, and says, while slowly pulling away, “That’s all for now.”…
End journal entry. She promptly left the car. About a week, give or take, passes. We have a workshop class, everything is normal. Then the next journal excerpt:
… I met up again with Chelsea to workshop. We went to K&K’s Teahouse (a.k.a. Bubble Tea) and then went back to campus, to the Anderson Center where we sat on the stage and read each other’s work. I tried to convince her to go to the elevator thingy, but she would have none of it. We then walked to her dorm in Mountainview. I told her I wanted to take her out, as in, on a date. She kept repeating that she didn’t know how she felt about me. At her suite I met her suitemates, but never saw her room as she was locked out. One suitemate gave me a king sized Kit Kat bar. We played Tap Tap Revenge 2. I asked to kiss her. She said, “Not tonight.”…
So, there you go. Those are the first two “dates” in detail. You have all the other interactions in great detail earlier in this thread.
Lot’s of detail, but I figure the more you all have, the better you’ll be able to advise me.
I’m going to call her tomorrow to see when she wants to get together to work on her piece. _________________ If the dream is won
