Hey guys,

This is a question that I have been looking to get answered for a little while now.

How can I make an effective approach at a bus stop, or on a train, etc. Also, if they are listening to an ipod, making it hard to get their attention, should that just be a no go zone, to avoid looking needy?

There's so many situational openers you could use there.

I'd avoid girls with iPods.

Open with something like "excuse me, do you know if this bus goes to ____". If you can make a smooth transition from the opener to other conversation, you should be fine.

Wasn't "Excuse me" a taboo? As in..NEVER say it or use it in your opener?

According to mystery.

I wasn't using it literally, more figure of speech. If you're gonna approach her like a pussy, you're gonna get blown out whether you say it or not. If you approach her with confidence, it also doesn't matter if you say it.

You can say anything really if you do it with the right approach. Don't worry about what you say as much as HOW you say it. If you're not saying it in a wimpy, apologetic tone then it's fine.

Tell stories, ask her questions (unique ones!)

If you're not the most outgoing guy, find some routines in the routine section here and use them.

If you can get a girl to open up to you while you're still maintaining positive body language (otherwise she might just be friend zoning you), you're golden.
