Generally I tend to go out with at least one wingman, but tomorrow all my friends have other plans (i.e. going to best mate's ex's party who hates my guts). So I was planning to go out alone, but I've never done this before and I have major social anxiety issues. Do I do it or not?

Yeah I've been doing this recently and posting about it, read some of my field reports and see if you fancy it or not.

It'll force you to meet other people so ye you should go for it. Maybe you'll even make some new male friends to sarge with.

Do it. I always tend to do better without the pressure of friends around me. I personally don't trust some of my friends to not throw me under the bus around females with embarassing stories, so I tend not to hit on women as often when they are around.

I tried it once and i found that women felt more pressured when I told them that i was there alone (the thought that i was only there for her and had noone else to go talk to i suppose).

BUT, i think that if you're casual enough you can get passed that.

I actually do a lot better when I'm out alone.

Before I enter the venue, I do 3 to 5 warm um approaches on the street, just to get rid of approach anxiety.

Once when I was opening a warm up set, I found out that they are going to the same bar I was heading for. I entered the venue with 3 chicks and BAMM! Social proof. They went to get seats, I told them I'd join them in a second and I approached the first set I saw and my nightgame officially began.

If someone asks you why are you alone, either say that you were supposed to meet a friend and he just couldn't make it at the last minute, or just claim that your friends are somewhere in the room. The people you refer to are a set you previously approached.

In my opinion, going out alone is a lot better, much better that with a wingman. Sure, it is intimidating to go out alone in the middle of the night, but you get over it....

Yeah Gotta agree with these guys, going out on a solo sarge tongiht actually, will post a FR tomorrow.

1 - You have to open, forces you to be sociable.
2 - You don't have "friends" with their own agenda's
3 - Not all friends DHV some definitely DLV you.
4 - You can go wherever the hell you like, when you like.

My only advice would be to minimise "dead time" between sets, always have something to do and don't outstay your welcome in a set. It smacks of desperate "I'm on my own please talk to me"

When the vibe you wanna give off is,

"I'm a social Whirlwind, feel my force! Where's the party? It's here"

lol
When you look around it's amazing how many people go out and wait for the excitement to happen to them, they sit around in groups, buy a few drinks and run out of conversation.

You can be that exciting thing they'll think about when they go home that night

Well Friday i solo sarged and Saturday I went out with friends.

Friday was SOOOOO much better. Will urge all PUA's to get good at Solo sarging it gives you options.

Nothing too out of the ordinary happened so won't do a FR, but Solo is getting so much easier now and opened a great double HB8 set.

What I dd notice from the Saturday was how much friends can screw up your game (whether intentionally or unintentionally). I went out in our big local town (Brighton) and have been looking forward to it but it was pants. We went to bars I hated, whenever I tried approaches friends would look on disapprovingly, all my friends are in couples and they were doing that really irritating "Pity the Single bloke as he wants to be happy like us" Seriously that shit ruins my vibe and is a real DLV , the worst bit is where they give you "relationship advice"

Rant over

Scamps

ps. Anyone know any good bars/ clubs in Brighton, my mate ALWAYS takes us to Frickin Casablanca

I got nothing against wingmen, but you need no more than just ONE, and you must be 110% sure in your guy. Both of you must know exactly what you're doing in order to be able to boost each others game.

I advice against going out with your guy friends, cause a group of guys in a bar is negative social proof, while just 2 guys is OK.

All my friends suck in pickup and always bring me down in a nightclub and I'm the one who's making the convo interesting, otherwise they don't invest.

But I do enjoy the company of girls with good social skills. I actually enjoy listening to them.

Try "training" a pivot. If you have a close female friend, you might want to tell her about pickup, give her instructions what to do and she can boost your game a lot.

I've never had a good wingman, nor did I ever trust a girl to become my pivot.

I just sarge like a solo cholo. :D But everything's alright this way. No complaints.
