Ive got a few wings that I go out with (their not as into gaming as much, mainly cause they don't really know about it, but just like to go out and meet women) and one of them is much better looking than I am. Hes 6' 3" blond and just a good looking dude. Im 5' 10" reddish hair, not bad looking but definitely not someone that gets approached.

If he opens the set, I have found that I have little to no chance at making progress with them. They will immediately be drawn to him. I have a little better chance if I open them but usually if he comes in he changes the whole vibe and they will most likely turn their attention to him.

Im somewhat new to the field and I guess I could AMOG him but he's more of a friend and not someone Im trying to necessarily shut down. Should I get a new wing? Any suggestions?

you could make him wear a haloween mask when u go out, something along the lines of Micky Mouse or George Bush, don't make him wear anything like Freddy Krueger tho...that will just scare the chicks away.

His presence probably undermines your confidence somewhat, if you get better results with other folk as opposed to him, I'd suggest dropping him as a wing

Looks don't mean much, my old wing was a step above me in the looks department, I got a new wing not because he was better looking, he was just a shitty person to be around after awhile.

It's all confidence and talk, could try gentle AMOGing, letting your wing know one of the girls you want to talk to so he lays off that one if it's not his main target (that's if he opened the set of course), charisma my friend, just play the charisma. Don't get intimidated.

Girls want status over looks...looks are just a great ice breaker and make it easier to start game. Ive gone head to head with excellent PUA's who were not as good looking as myself and was given a run for my money. Looks are definitely secondary.

If you really wanted to you could F-close every girl you encounter no matter who your wing is...you have to be able and willing and truly believe in yourself.

Yeah I had this. One of my best mates is an International athelete, 6ft 4, dark hair, Irish and unfairly handsome.

It was an eye opener to me when we used to hit the town, as girls just opened him, were queuing up to open him in fact.

My solution -

New Wing.

Work on your game in a less competitive environment, where you don't feel intimidated.

I would say stay with him and take it as a challenge. Analyze him! Study his body language, look how he acts, watch how he carries himself... I also have a friend who is better looking but he has a shitty personality and once girls see that they lose interest.

Next time he gets approached by a set and you're excluded, go up and say to him, "Hey, who are your friends?". Let him introduce you and just take it from there.

If you keep thinking that they're never gonna be attracted to you because he's there, then they will pick up on that. You sound like you're harbouring some resentment towards him, so you might want to look at that and figure out where it's coming from. Stop being so preoccupied with him and focus on you!

This is all good stuff guys, I appreciate it. Probably a little truth in every post. Luckily he is not my main wing as we live in separate cities, so it might be nice to work on my game and get it to the point where I can compete with him a little bit when he comes to town. As Teddy G says use it as a challenge!
