Kind of a strange question, but here we go.

A little backstory: I used to suffer from mild depression, so I have had a frequently poor attitude about myself and my abilities towards women. I know I'm not particuarly unattractive (I once got digits from a solid 8 five years older than me) but I had consistently low self-esteem, energy and desire to socialize. Recently, however, I have had an improved attitude, with more energy and a greater desire to work out, socialize and be more alpha.

The Question:
How should I go about preventing a relapse back to my old low self-esteem self? Should I rely on my guy friends, or just go on a raging sarge campaign?

I could use the support, I need a change in my life.

Both my friend.
The guys are there to high five for the accomplishments and pat you on the back, and the girls are there so you can highfive and pat yourself on the back. External and internal self esteem boost.

First stop trying to brag as if anyone gives a shit that some older bitch who has probably been ran through gave you her number. NOBODY CARES! Get that through your head, your friends don't care, we don't care, and talking about it makes you sound like a chump. If you want to prevent low self-esteem and relapsing into your prior pathetic existence, which to my suspicions hasn't changed much, then take up an activity that will give you some form of self-confidence. The fastest, but most difficult route is to take up combat sports. Nothing gives a better self-esteem boost then knowing you can crush the spirits of other men. Even bedding countless women will never give you the type of inner-strength you are seeking. Probably because your whole life men have been emasculating you. It is the same as when a man rapes another man, he takes something away from him, his dignity, his power, his sense of self as a masculine and powerful animal. Being dominated socially, and physically by other men has left you timid and weak. Change that by gaining confidence in your ability to be aggressive and strong. Combat sports will help with this, then you won't need sex or women to make you feel like you are worth something.
