I'd like to get some 'PUA opinions' on something that has been on my mind recently...
I've been in a long term relationship that went bad... I will spare you uninteresting details but basically I was a pathetic needy loser and it's obvious what happened next...
Anyway, I read some e-books about it, applied 'no contact' and worked to get my life back on track...
I've had basically zero contact with my ex for about 8 months now. Occasionally she'd sent me a short message, usually with some kind of excuse to talk to me. When I replied (short and casually) she wouldn't reply anymore.
Until a few days ago, she contacted me online, tried to make conversation and ended up saying that she's been thinking a lot about me lately (she sounded kinda sad about her own life). I replied something like: 'well I guess that's normal' and 'sorry but I gotta take off now'.
The truth is, I'd like to re-establish contact with my ex and hopefully rebuild attraction... I'd like to get her back.
I'm very unsure as of how to go about this though... I'm afraid that if I actively try to get back in contact I'll end up empty handed and hurt again so I don't want to make myself too vulnerable.
Another big issue is that she lives far (extremely far) away, so contact will have to be over the internet/phone at least for the next couple of months and until things seem to get better.
What do you guys think? What kind of attitude should I maintain... How should I come across? Do I just sit back and let her take initiative... Or should I sent her a message every once in a while? What subjects do I talk about and what subjects should I definitely avoid? How do I respond when she says she thinks of me or misses me?
Thanks in advance!
