Hey I'm a teenager and i was wondering texting seems to be a big deal. But i can't figure out what to say or keep convo flowing and for how long. Can anyone give me any tips for txing. Like do's and don't and what not.

Texting i find should only be used to set up a date.

i am a teenager aswell and i text ALOT. now i text a lot for different reasons, if i am busy and cant go out, to keep updated and keep my value up i will just send a text and see how people are doing. i was busy every weekend for about a month so i was simple keeping up on peoples lives and doing this to just kinda be a good friend, remind people i still excist and all that.
i would say the same thing, only good for day 2s, but it can be helpful aswell. many girls text me, like i text some people just to talk and say whats up. for convos i just ask people questions maybe just to keep it simple, some basic at first then go into more stuff depending on there response. ask them for instance what was exciting about there day and just play around with what they say and have fun with it. after texting back and fourth for like 20 min i till them i gotta go just so i dont have to sit through boring stuff and so i dont become boring. at that point i typically say "damn i miss chillin with you how bout we go out lets say, this weekend when im not so busy? you down?" anything like that, i try to end it on hangin out or a postive note
just work with it it can be very helpful

Great advice in my opinion.

I do the same. I don't like talking on the phone as much unless it's with a girl I'm really into, so I just text. I'd consider myself pretty good at the text game. It also helps to practice on multiple girls per day or whatever.

Sometimes when I'm bored, I just say whats up to 4-5 different girls at once. I usually get a reply back from all of them. What I like about texting is that you can be someone quite a bit different from yourself in person. I could be the nicest guy in person, but texting I could be a sarcastic, energetic, charismatic guy.

When flirting with a girl, #1 rule in my book - SMILIES/EMOTICONS. ( , etc...) Since the cocky/funny routine is hard to understand sometimes over texting, MAKE SURE you throw in a smiley, otherwise she'll think you were being totally serious.

Example w/o smilies:
HER: "Ugh I'm so cold!"
ME: "My bed is nice and warm if you want to come over"
HER: "Ew wtf?"

Example w/ smilies:
HER: "Ugh I'm so cold!"
ME: "My bed is nice and warm if you want to come over "
HER: "Haha sounds good"

Just a quick shitty example, but you get the point I think. She sees the wink smiley as kind of a "ooh he's being sexual but funny" instead of "weirdo!"
