So from what I understand, when you approach a woman, you need to use an opener, then introduce yourself, then change topics and start a conversation, and then you need to build attraction by neging and touching etc. and then you ask for her number. But what if a woman approaches you first or gives you an IOI first? I have been in this situation quite a few times and I have never seen any advice on how to approach this situation. If it is important, in terms of attractiveness, I am an 8 out of 10.

Can you just stick to having a normal conversation and then eventually ask for their number (and don’t use neging and touching etc.)? If a woman first approaches you, does it almost guarantee that you can get her number? Or do you still have to put in some work and have some game to get her number?

Theres never any guarantees man, unless you're Brad Pitt. But it is much easier to number close or more if a girl approaches you, from my experience. You already have the in, she opened for you. Be yourself, have some good conversation... and hopefully you're golden. A lot of guys on here have AA, so if a girl approaches you, a lot of the hard work is done... just be your charming self. I find when I'm approached I let my guard down a bit and don't 'game' as much as if I had opened...

I have this happen often, I find playing a biiit hard to get works well for me. I have had chicks interrupt me in a convo with a friend and ask me something. I tell them I'm going to finish my convo then find them later. I've literally watched girls stare at me while I'm talking to my friend and wait for me to come back and talk to them. Puts you back in control I suppose, because if she isn't your type, you don't have to waste your time engaging in a conversation with her and making up an excuse to leave. It could backfire, but it hasn't for me yet, and they seem genuinely exciting when/if I go and find them later. Hope this helps a bit...
