Ask random girls to be in there pictures?

Ok so last week I was in a party and my friend ask some random girls to be on their pictures. When he did that I wasn't there so I only saw that on facebook a few days ago. I talked about how funny it was to see him on a friend's album and he told me that he do that often and it works.

Is that a good idea to do? I mean it's a fact that girls love to take pictures. Also on facebook it may DHV to be in a lot of pictures with not the same persons. I may try that but I want some opinions on that.
