Ok, I live in MD but had to go back home to PA for a couple weeks. There's a woman I'm gaming at the local gym I go to that I was talking to about how I'm going home and such as I was leaving one morning.

As I approached, I saw her and the other guy I'm friends with that works with her making these little gift baskets for some contest they were going to have while I was away. So I take the opportunity to talk about it with "Oh, what's this?", "Contest? Oh, I'll definitely win!..haha..", etc. After the "I'll win" coment, the conversation went as follows:

Her: No, you can't win because you're gonna be gone.

Me: Well, I'm not canceling my gym membership, I'm jus going to be out of town for a couple weeks. I'll win...(i throw in a little smirk)

Her: Well, you're not cool enough. You won't win...

Me: Not cool enough? Woman, do you know who I am? Do you know who you're speaking to? (We were both laughing of course)

I then turn around to talk to the guy behind the desk for a little.

As I began walking out, I said my good-byes to the people there, and I turn to her as she was cleaning the lifting machines about 10-15 feet away and say "I'll see you later, Jenna"

..No response..

"Hey, Jenna, I'll see ya!"..laugh a little..."And she's ignoring me...haha..." Turn back to the guy behind the desk.."How do you work with a girl like this?...haha.."

...No response...

The other guy had to chime in "Hey, Jenna!! Rob's Leaving!"

Finally, she looks up "Oh, i didn't even hear you...haha...I'll see ya..."

It's possible that she's REALLY into what she was doing and really just wasn't paying attention, but I doubt it. Either she was shit testing me, or she was genuinely not interested.

What do you guys think? Was it a shit test? and if so, how did I do?

I would guess that if it was some kind of test you should only have said goodbye once, you are an alpha male who doesn't waste words or time. That is so long as you were speaking loud enough.

You could have given the guy a look so that if she actually didn't hear you and she asked him if you had left he would have told her that you did say bye and she just didn't hear you.

I usually w8 for people to reach me their hand 1st... (looks aplha when everyone is giving you hands) and if he/she doesnt its ok because cause its mutual.

When i go out of there (room?) i say bye only once.

When someone else is going away from me or room i dont say bye before she/he does.
