I just got the Mystery Method on PDF. Up to Survival and Replication value, and wow man. It's scary how much I didn't know, even though I got moderate results.

The one thing that stuck with me is the correlation I made between Survival and Replication, and Value.

...Naturally, I'm a guy with high value. I am good looking, I got balls, I get shit done, I have a good time, and I bring positive stuff into my world.

But, when I fail, I thought It was because I wasn't good enough.

No, not true.

I know why I didn't get the girl and my friend, of WAY LOWER value, did.

Value can be distorted. I remember my football coach in HS saying all that matters is winning, not being right. It doesn't matter if you kicked a good touchdown; if the team didn't win, YOU didn't win. Period. If one good player made a spectacular running play for a touchdown, but the other team came back and WON the game, who cares about that guy's touchdown. The other team won. His team lost. HE LOST.

Doesn't matter if you're the shit. It's not about succeeding in small part. It's about winning. Doesn't matter if the girl hooked up with you. If you didn't fuck her, you didn't fuck her. According to the Method, which has posed a new perspective for me, if you didn't fuck, YOU LOSE. You failed to replicate. The other guy got to potentially have a kid with her, and survive. The snake won, the lion lost.

The goal, when you meet ANY woman, is to fuck. FUCK HARD, LONG, AND HOT. But fuck. No excuses. To do that, you must convey, AND protect value. To do so, you need to learn how to manage your social environment.

...Wow, looks like this PUA stuff is worth a good read. Showtime.

I always get a kick out of reading a guy's self assessment of his value . . . to himself. Figure out how to suck your own cock and you'll be all set.

The problem with a frame like this are that Winning and Being right shift for different time lines. The running back who ran for big yards may not have been on the winning team, his team may not even play 500 ball, but he'll be the only guy to get a D-IA scholarship, where he'll bang a whole lotta females. The same applies with PU, you may lose one or two girls along the way, but by doing so you may avoid the "player" or "girlfriend stealer" tag which would hamper your efforts in the long run.

Also to claim that PU is solely about fucking the target is an unsubstantiated normative judgment, especially when most of this fucking is by its nature sterile, because it involves contraception. Unless you're going in without body armor every time, these evolutionary fitness arguments are a bit misinformed. Besides, humans aren't as interested in spreading their genetic code as you'd think. If given the chance between a life of glory, achievement and HB10s(with the condom on) or anonymous brood production a good percentage of humanity would choose the former.

.

You got a point. I was coming to that came conclusion.

I lose some, I win more. It's a fact. Even the big guys fall sometimes. It's how they stand up, and then go again.

Don't get me wrong. I don't take what I read so far literally (I would hope people are interested in things other than "replication"), but I'm understanding the primal aspect of human nature; what UNITES us on a base level.

On the base level, victory is all that matters. Whether it's "Replication", or making sure a deal falls through, or even getting your dick wet, see it through to the end. Win or lose. See it through.

The thing is what unites us isn't all competition and victory. Humans are by origin a cooperative species, its what made us so evolutionarily fit. So in my game and, in my life in general, I try not to play zero sum scenarios, but situations where we can help each other win. Competition is important, but too much of it and our vision gets skewed.

Seeing it through is something we can all agree on. Execute the plan, don't dawdle. All things that the best philosophers have talked about.

Balance.

One shouldn't live to attack and compete against all that is around him, but at the same time, no one will care enough to let you just win. You want something, you've gotta decide whether you get it or not.

Concordance. A beautiful thing.

Then again, Philosophy is only as useful as it's application.
