I've come across a lot of material, especially from more of the psychologically oriented instructors, that explains the hows and whys of different attraction mechanisms, but I have yet to hear anyone weigh in on WHY attraction decays even if game is maintained on a particular girl over a period of time. It's pretty well established that if you don't make any moves, the attraction is likely to diminish even with great game.

I know the attitude to have is to make a move at the peak of attraction so that you never need to deal with attraction decay, but I'm curious as to why it happens.

I figure that the most obvious reason is that the girl assumes you are uninterested and simply treat all girls this way- that she is not an object of interest to you or perhaps is not in your league.

I'm interested in hearing more subtle explanations. For example, that it is a DLV to postpone making a move on a girl that you are visibly attracted to. Men take charge and don't stall, so if she sees you stalling then you must not be as manly as she thought you were.
