You might get red after the first couple of sessions but eventually you'll have a nice brown color that lasts for quite some time. I think just plain tanning will help you best because it is a little more genuine then a "fake" spray tan. Considering this, it will aid you in your "inner game" as it will be free of incongruence.
Spray tans are also noticeably fake if done incorrectly. This could result in you being called out, and with the whole jersey shore thing, maybe even called a guido (which you may like).
