I was at a party a couple days ago and I met this cute girl that I like. I'm all new to this so I did my best with an opener but I felt it was an disaster. She's very shy and was nervous which made me EVEN MORE nervous than I thought it would be.

One of my friends at the party, who is much more skillful in this game and entered the PUA community much earlier, told me that I did well. I think he meant that at least I made my move which helps with building up my confidence.

Anyways, I managed to to get her MSN but not sure how to proceed from there. My friend helped me to devise an opener like the following.

Me: Hi, can you help me out? I want to meet up with this really cute girl named "Her name" who I met the other day, but she’s impossible to talk to. Any advice? Keep in mind she’s really shy, but i know she has an awesome personality.

I've searched on the forums for online or IM openers and it seems some gurus did say that direct openers like this one is ok to use, which is the kind of opener I am more or less leaning toward to.

However, I still would love to hear your input in this matter.
