I'm finishing up my last semester of college over in Wurzburg, Germany. I'm still learning the language wherever i can. I leave in February and I have no idea what I'm in for. For whoever is over there i got a few questions.

1. Is it true that they love foreigners (i had to ask , haha).
2. Is there a difference in approaching women overseas compared to the U.S.?
3. Any good clubs I should note?

Tips on German Girls...

1. It helps that you learn German otherwise you really limit yourself to the woman who would like to meet with you. You don't have to be an expert, but you should give it a legitimate attempt. Even if a German talks to you in English, try to respond back to them in German, even if its in simple sentences. You will get more respect if you do.

2. If they know you are only there for 4 months.. well, that can be a plus or a negative. For a German girl that is LTR oriented, forget it. But for those who just want to play around, you are golden.

3. Everytime I go to Munich, I try to hit Irish or American Sports bars...and they do have them in Germany.

4. Learn to drink but DO NOT GET DRUNK around woman. You still need to know how to play your game, and if you are drunk, Game Over... Even German girls find drunk guys unattractive. They find a guy in control of their drinking even more attractive.

5. Even though German girls are very head-strong, they still are attracted to the Alpha male of the group. You will even notice a lot of German girls 'negging' you...this is a plus, this means that they are interested in you at least enough to say something to/about you. Unless she says something really bad of course.

6. NEVER speak about politics. They have strong opinions about Politics in the USA and its better that you don't go that route. When they say something about it, I just say something neutral and change the subject.

7. Best if you can get into a group of Germans. If you are immediately welcomed to a group of Germans, keep it that way. It will make your approaches a lot easier, plus with the German girl it takes some the of guess-work out of trying to figure you out. If you are already accepted by one German group, you will be easier accepted by another German group when they see this.

8. Cloths... dress cool...you will find that dressing too American might be somewhat outdated. But also dress to be you...even if you dress like a cool American. Cool is just Cool.

9. Be careful of your negging. Germans tend to take things very seriously...and if they mis-translate you, it could be game over. I typically only neg them about something we talk about in a conversation when we are already having good rapport. But when I neg them, I immediatly turn it into a joke. But I do limit my negging overall. Once or twice is enough, beyond that it could be detrimental.

10. German girls are harder to read for IOIs. Some IOIs in the USA are easy to pick up, but the same IOIs don't mean anything in Germany. Like hugs, they hug everyone over in Germany. Just like kissing the side of your cheek. So be careful.

11. The stare test is golden... NEVER turn away from a stare test... But don't do it creepy like either. Smile when you look into their eyes. Watch for smiles back when she looks down, or maybe even laughs a little.

12. If you can cook, all the better. Even German girls like it when a guy can cook something good. My favorite is Fajitas. Its exotic enough and tastes great. Plus if she gets food around her mouth, gives you all the more reason to 'help' clean her up...

13. Jokes and American Humor...I find that the dry American Humor is the best. It gets them everytime. I try to introduce dry American Humor when we are already in a conversation. Focus the joke on yourself though, its funnier and it gives them a sense that you can even laugh about something against you...They see Confidence in you when you do this. Try to do this when they are already laughing or smiling, not when they are in a serious conversation.

That is all I can think of right now. While you are in school in the USA, try to meet German girls at your school. This will give you a head start before you are actually in Germany. Plus, they might be even able to help you with your style and cool things to say/do in Germany. Its bonus all around.

Thanks for the tips man, definitely gave me some insight. I'm learning German right now so i'm gonna keep it up and we'll see where that goes. Btw, if your gonna be in Germany before the end of July let me know. I've been looking to wing with someone for awhile now.
