I always stay calm. Always. It works best when a girl is angry. I also sometimes add a "What are you really angry about?" as a way get her to reflect on it more in a less emotional state.

That being said, I don't think I made a girl 'angry' at me in ages. It's a more proactive aproach then just reacting when she is angry. The sometimes get angry at other situations but not at me then staying calm and getting her less emotional or changing her emotional focus to something else (like me perhaps :P) is a good thing
