I think I just need to maintain the frame.. I'd guess that going all apologetic is the worst thing. but I'm not sure.


p.s.: the reason I even brought up the date and didn't lie is because i want to make it clear that I'm not exclusive. She had started to say too many things lately about really liking me, and I don't want her to get super attached... but I don't want to break things off either.

There's a fine line between her knowing you're not exclusive and telling her explicitly you're out with some hot chick. If I were you, I'd maintain frame, def. not apologise, but just call her and make her laugh, and make your next meeting really great for her. Maybe take her out somewhere. In my experience, with most girls, you can only maintain an f-buddy for so long without any kind of investment.

Text conversations don't need to be continued until some kind of conclusion. You text her back saying you're out at a club and you'll talk to her the next day or something, she texts you back being all jealous, just DON'T RESPOND. You are having too much fun to care about her petty jealousy shit. Just don't even get into her frame. If she asks why you didn't respond, say you didn't see the message until you were leaving the place and you were just going home anyway, or something.
