Can playing AFC get you girls?

My friend, lets call him Joe for the sake of privacy, is basically the definition of chode. Hes a 'nice guy' by every definition of the term - he goes against all anti-chode rules of pick up. Hes innocent and acts all cute and nice to girls, acting like hes a virgin and stuff. Hes tall and lanky and awkward looking, not a very good looking guy. Not very popular either.

But for some reason this guy gets girls. I can't comprehend it. This one model girl kept offering him hand jobs and blow jobs, and he would actually refuse.

He dated an HB7. He went to semi with an HB8. He hooked up with an HB8 at the last party I went to. How does it work?

Is this guy using some sort of secret AFC mind trick game to get girls? Or is there an explanation that an AFC could get girls?

Hes a pretty cool guy, I'm buddies with him. He is just kind of chody around girls.

I don't have an answer to offer you, However I will agree there are certain people who are definitely exceptions to the rules of pickup. I have a buddy who can pull girls almost anywhere he tries. He's 5'4 at best, skinny, pale but an alright looking guy. He acts cocky in front of women, but in no way does he shine in a room with social proof or too much social interaction. He just appears average with a bit of cockyness and he seems to pull good looking women because of it. Naturals suck

Chances are he's not actually an AFC.

He's just a guy who isn't conforming to YOUR PARTICULAR VIEWS. On what women want.
