What would be a good rule of thumb for deciding if a thread is too old to revive?
A couple weeks? couple months? off the first page?

like the rule says, only revive it if you have something of value to add, not just a "lol good story" you know :)

I appreciate the input Chillburg, but that's the part I do understand. Maybe I wasn't entirely clear.. I was hoping somebody could clarify how old a thread is when it would be considered 'dead'. This part of the rule is a little vague:
Quote:
Nothing is more annoying to us moderators than having to lock a thread that has been dead for months...
So would it be safe to assume that the time constraint for just posting a joke or giving props is a month or so after the latest post?

I'm new at this whole online forum thing.
