I don't live in LA , and it's a long drive back to Orange County, are there any cheap but but ok-ish Hotels or Motels in Los Angeles?

I'm looking to F-close this girl, but she's living with her parents while finishing school, and I don't feel like getting shafted for a room.

What do you guys do? use orbitz.com ? I suppose I could pop the question? If she says yes, then go to the bathroom and book the room with orbitz.com on my iphone, but it would be better if there was just a cool place I could take her to that has a good price.

Motel 6 is usually pretty cheap. Tho you may be able to get a nicer hotel for a good deal with how the economy is on a site like orbitz.com
