Hi All,

I am a street and impromptu hypnotist and have been (unknowingly) using several pua techniques for ages it seems. Below are some of my initial thoughts based on my experience learning and then supporting and growing other impromptu hypnotists:

Firstly, I'm just beginning this stuff (only about 1/4 way through the Game) and while I know its what I've been waiting for all my life (and probably preparing for), I'm not entirely sure how I will be using my hypnosis and NLP stuff yet, but there are many parallels.

What I can tell you (although I probably don't need to) is that learning all of this stuff comes down to one rule: plan the execution and execute the plan.

Far too many people fall at the first hurdle (in hypnosis and I would expect pua as well) as they get overwhelmed by all the possibilities and "what ifs". What a afc needs to do (and what I will be planning to start over doing) is to plan step 1: aproach and open AND THEN LEAVE (Any more than that and you're into unknown territory). Get step 1 down automatic or at least comfortable BEFORE trying to move on to step 2. Now if you just look at step 1 and what that involves, its a lot easier to actually have a go. I started the street stuff by wandering up and down the road outside a popular London train station and approaching people just asking them the question in the following paragraph. I did this during my lunch hour for about 2 weeks before I started to get comfortable with it!

Quite quickly Ifound using the Complement Introduce Question approach for hypnosis wins nearly everytime. It also breaks sets nicely when I do table stuff in bars and pubs. My exact words are: "Hi, you guys look like fun. I'm a hypnotist and I want to know whether any of you have seen anyone hypnotised before." From there I then receive answers and talk about doing "a little game that isn't hypnosis but should give you an idea of what its like." I then do the magnetic fingers and magnetic hands suggestability tests (google them) to identify the best subjects (I get the whole group to do this if I can). Now, what I will normally do from here is to choose my best subject and single them out for some "formal" hypnosis or whatever I'm practicing (I'm a big fan of waking hypnosis as well which doesn't look like hypnosis but they still can't move ;)), but of course this where the new pua stuff might start to come in and I need to continue reading and learning and testing and doing.

Its what works for me, and I hope it helps for anyone out there. Of course if anyone's got any advice on how this might be improved both for hypnosis and for pua I'm all ears (or eyes).

Heck, I woudn't know where to begin with hypnosis so I won't make any suggestions there. As for PU though, be carefull not to become a dancing monkey. Your hypnosis trick might be nice for you to isolate your target, but I woudn't open with it.

Regardless, I think that you opening random people for your hypnosis will make you so much more comfortable to open sets (regardless if it's hypnosis related or not).
