Hey guys, I could really do with some advice on this. Basically I met this girl about 2-3 months ago through a friend. We chatted and got on really well. I added her on facebook and we started chatting quite a lot on there and on MSN too. We also exchanged numbers and have text eachother a few times. Recently she has broken up with her boyfriend, now I want to ask her out, (she dumped him by the way). Thing is I'm not really sure how to go about this. She is away at uni and we've only ever met the one time. I was thinking of sending her a text and asking her out to dinner . What do you think ?

I also thought about turning the whole on its head and texting her something like this :-

Hey, I was wondering now we're both single I'll let you take me out for dinner. So, where you taking me ?

Like I said, I'd really appreciate any help with this.

Dinner is way too formal. Go for coffee or something and sell it as a fun hang out or something.

it depends what you have been texting and what kind of vibe you two have. If you think shes inteRested in you then I'd say text heR somthing like hey what you up to tonight? ...see what she says and invite heR to kick it with you and some fRiends ...oR invite heR to a hooka baR oR to have a dRink......let me know how it goes...

No way man. You can't say something like "since we're both single" because she's going to be thinking that as you have dinner, your going to wanna fuck her. Which, of course, you wanna do. Ask her to go to coffee or something super chill. Text her something funny, have her respond to it and then make it quick and text "Hey, I was going to go for some coffee (or whatever), wanna join me " or even "I was planning on going out to (whatever) but my friend cancelled last minute, wanna go"
