Slept with a girl at a party (F close)

friend of mine text me up: "dude, did you sleep with so and so?"

I dont want to tell him or anyone because i want to keep my sexual past a bit of a mystery - dont want to be labelled a player because it will hurt my chances with some other girls I like right now (they are good-girls)

How do i respond to my friend, without offending him, but niether confirming nor denying his question? (I know he would tell me if he got lucky, but he will only have a handfull of lays in his time, wheres I will have many many more... I cant tell people every time)

It's not harder than that. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't" is good for closing up things. I rarely go past that point.

Yea mate ive had the same problem as the town im at uni as it is quite small. To my closest mates ill tell the truth as i know i can count on them not to blab. If its girlies ill make a small neg like "Wow someone is a little to interested" Or to other mates ill laugh it off with "Well thats the million dollar question".

Ive also found girls in their LMR asking how many girls ive slept with. Normaly the reply is "Enough, not too many not too few just...enough" Followed with a smile and a shrug. Or something like "i dont kiss and tell its rude" again followed with a smile and a kiss on the neck. This makes is seem like you have thought about who you have slept with and still value them.

Instead of getting rid of the " player " status you can use it to benefit your game. With this i dont mean that you get super cocky saying i can get anyone i want. Instead be humble and "cool" with your status and let the reputation do the talking, not you. Girls generally want a guy who is good with women. Why? Because if he is popular among women than:
A) It may throw a challenge to the girl saying that she wants to tame you and be the " special " one who got the popular guy when other women couldnt succeed
B) If other girls wants him than he must have qualitys that will make my life better
C) You are an alpha which knows what he is doing
D) It makes other girls wonder why havent you tried to game them yet
But remember, let the reputation do the talking instead of you showing off! Be the guy who is close to the earth but which seems to have a good succes among the women because of your good qualities.
