Am I the only person who wasn't helped at all by reading David DeAngelo's newsletters? I see Double Your Dating recommended for newbies all the time, and I don't understand why.

Cocky/Funny is nothing more than a branch of teasing/coquetting. Some of the c/f lines he gives you are completely indistinguishable from normal teasing. Maybe it's my delivery, maybe it's me having been a n00b, but every time I tried c/f I was brushed off as an arrogant ass. I have a friend who had the same problem. And then I log onto these forums and many other forums with people singing praises to David D. What gives?

Even when I got the women to laugh at "plastic rolex", for example, it was a type of laugh that said "...I guess that's funny....heh..."

So to this day I've dropped cocky/funny and use a more generic, tried-and-true brand of teasing. It works SO much better.

There's also the problem of David DeAngelo teaching me, as a n00b, to over-analyze practically everything I do. What resulted was an extremely rigid way of approaching women..... and I'm supposed to "have fun with it", as he advises ...?

Mystery and Neil taught me so many useful things, and if it wasn't for me discovering them, I probably would have become too discouraged and given up pick-up altogether. Those guys break it down and tell you what you need to do, while remaining very loose and allowing for a few mistakes. Every bit of success I've had can be traced back to what they taught me.

So I say to newbies: familiarize yourself with Mystery, instead of relying on (what I found to be) the useless over-analyzing and inversely unhelpful generalizations of Double Your Dating. My dating wasn't doubled. 2 x 0 is still 0.

I remember reading some of Dave D. stuff and then I started really reading and watching the stuff Mystery and Neil were saying, for me it just works better and I got a lot more knowledge out of it.

I must say that I know what you guys think about David D's material. His stuff is way more abstract than everyone else. Mystery is Style no doubt have a good technique on how to pick women up. When I started really practicing the game, I relied heavily on their "techniques" As I got better and better, I realized techniques aren't that effective. The inner confidence, and body language triggers is the most powerful tools of seduction. I never EVER use Mystery's techniques anymore, because now when I walk up to women, they feel my sexual energy, and and rarely give resistance, and I find having conversations with women is effortless. There is a fine line between cocky funny, and arrogance, it takes a bit of tweaking to understand. I use it all of the time. If the women is really into you and you act a bit cocky, and funny, SHE WILL LAUGH. A women will laugh at just about anything if she likes you. I used to mess around with women, and say the most ridiculous things to see if she laughed or not, and that was how I would tell how much she was interested I highly recommend, picking up Pick Up 101's material, and David Wygants material, also. These two PUA DRASTICALLY improved my game in a VERY VERY short amount of time. Good Luck Brother
